Visitor information and so much more Geeveston not only has an apple variety named after it, but it is the gateway to Hartz Mountains National Park, and is a great place to stop on the way to Southport or Cockle Creek. Rosehavenfans will love the ‘behind-the-scenes’ photographic display, whilst the upstairs gallery houses the Vin Smith Collection; an interpretive display of wood turning tools and machinery that holds historical importance. There are many fine examples of early treadle machines, pedal-operated saws, spindle moulders and scroll saws. Visitors can also learn about the rare Huon Pine and the adored platypus population that call Geeveston home. Make sure to include the Geeveston Town Hall Visitor Centre on your road trip south.
