Geeveston Golf Club (GGC) is centrally located, 28 kilometres from the Huon Valley Golf Club to the north, and 25 kilometres from the Dover Golf Club to the south. The Geeveston area is a perfect place for golfers to stay. The GGC has been described as “an undiscovered jewel” by visitors. Due to a huge volunteer effort by club Quaint country golf course members, and abundant rainfall, the mowed undulating fairways are lush and the putting greens are like thick carpets. The GGC is located five minutes from the Geeveston town centre, amongst scenic farmlands, livestock paddocks and abundant wildlife. The golf course is open to the public, outside of scheduled competition times. Green fees are $20 per day, paid through an honesty drop-box and selfservice receipt book. The Geeveston Ex-Servicemen’s and Women’s Club extends a warm welcome to all visitors travelling throughout southern Tasmania. The facility offers unpowered sites for self-contained caravans and/or motorhomes, firepots (please provide your own wood) and toilets on site available 24 hours (code on check-in). Close to the Kermandie River, the site also has a barbecue and gazebo area available alongside the riverbank. TASkeno is available at the club, along with pool tables and a mini arcade area for both adults and family groups to enjoy. The club is open from 2pm daily (summer months) and 3pm daily (winter months). They are in close proximity/walking distance to the township, with lots of things on offer including; local IGA, post office, butcher, chemist and plenty of takeaway options. Children are welcome to the club, if accompanied by an adult. There’s a large outdoor grassed area perfect for a kick of football, cricket or a run around with family and friends. Along the outskirts of the club is a beautiful walk that can lead you to the platypus walking track close by. Dogs are also allowed and must remain on a lead at all times.
